- THREE POSITIONS AT CSRC, BEIJING, CHINA AND CFIF/CEFEMA, INSTITUTO

SUPERIOR TÉCNICO, UNIVERSIDADE DE LISBOA, PORTUGAL

AND

- TWO POSITIONS AT CSRC, BEIJING, CHINA AND CFUM/CFUP, UNIVERSITY OF

MINHO, BRAGA, PORTUGAL AND UNIVERSITY OF PORTO, PORTUGAL

(PERIOD 2014-2016)

The research areas of the CSRC - CFIF/CEFEMA three positions are:

topological phases of matter, specifically electron

interactions in systems with non-trivial band topology, Majorana

fermions in topological superconductors, and topological phase transitions;

spintronics and nanotechnology, with applications of quantum information and

computation; many-body physics in novel two-dimensional materials, such

as graphene multilayers and post-graphene two-dimensional materials.

The research areas of the CSRC - CFUM/CFUP two positions are strongly

correlated one- and two-dimensional systems, referring both to

condensed-matter

materials and ultra-cold atoms on optical lattices; numerical

implementation of

the C-method for diffraction gratings covered with graphene.

The positions are opened for a two-year appointment, renewable yearly,

to be spent half in China and half in Portugal.

The salary is of about 1500 Euros/month.

Applicants should be no more than 35 years of age at the time of

application and should have obtained their Ph.D. after 2008.

Applications, including a detailed curriculum vitae (indicating date of

birth,

nationality, family status, dependents), list of publications and at least

two

letters of recommendation (whose scan should be sent separately), should

be sent to:

Professor Hai-Qing Lin

E-mail: haiqing0@csrc.ac.cn

Professor Jose MP Carmelo
