*Research Assistant Professor in Computational Chemistry/Physics*


Applications are invited for appointments as Research Assistant Professors in Department of Chemistry, University of Hong Kong for up to three years, with the possibility of renewal. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree and relevant working experiences in chemistry, physics, applied mathematics, materials science or electronic engineering, with strong and demonstrated experience in theoretical and computational chemistry/physics, materials science, electronics or related field. Experience in programming and

developing efficient numerical algorithm is preferred. Successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary project (Area of Excellence on Theory, Modeling, and Simulation of Emerging Electronics, URL: http://yangtze.hku.hk/AOE/) in Hong Kong to develop a suite of multi-scale electronic devices and circuit modeling software tools ranging from atomistic simulation methods, electromagnetics and compact modeling. Specifically, the successful candidates will work in one of the following projects:


* To develop methodologies and tools for simulation of sub-14 nm electronic

  devices with atomic details

* To develop a set of multi-scale EDA tools for emerging electronic devices

  and materials


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

will be offered. Annual leave and medical/dental benefits will be provided.

The appointments of RAPs for two years or more will attract a contract-end
