Dear Colleague,
I am writing to let you know that I expect to have at least one open postdoctoral position in my group in the general areas of theoretical quantum condensed matter and quantum optics. While there will be flexibility in the choice of research topic, there are two broad areas of particular interest:
- The theory of quantum optomechanical and electromechanical systems, with the goal of exploring (among other things) non-equilibrium and many-body dynamics in these systems.
- Superconducting quantum circuits, with an emphasis on exploring novel quantum measurement effects (working in collaboration with experimental groups).
Note that the positions will offer the possibility to collaborate with leading international experimental groups in these fields. The positions have a nominal start date of September 1 2014 and a duration of two years; much earlier start dates may also be possible Please let me know if you are aware of any qualified candidates, or feel free to forward this message directly to them.
