Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics at the Nanynag Technological
University in Singapore. The successful candidate will be expected to
work on frustrated quantum magnetism, specifically, on the investigation
of the (generalised) Shastry-Sutherland model using computational
and /or analytical approaches and its application to understanding the
properties of the rare-earth tetraborides. These will include the study of
both magnetic and transport properties. (S)he will have the opportunity
to collaborate extensively with experimental efforts on these compounds
being pursued at NTU and our collaborators in Europe and USA. There
will also be ample scope to pursue independent research. A Ph.D. in Physics
or related field, familiarity with the theory of frustrated quantum magnetism
